One of the things I am learning from Aaron is how to properly take a picture of the bride’s bouquet. You may not realize it, but a lot of thought goes into capturing a picture of the bouquet. First of all, if you are taking a picture of the bouquet by itself, the background becomes very important. It needs to not only match the colors of the flowers, but also enhance them so the bouquet seems to pop in the picture. I love photographs of the bride holding the bouquet, where the bouquet is in focus, and the bride is in soft focus. This also achieves the affect of having the bouquet stand out in the picture. Flowers are very intricate, and it’s always nice to get a really close up shot of one individual flower in the bouquet as well. Here are a few beautiful wedding pictures of some amazing bridal bouquets.

Emily - In the future, could possibly post settings used for a couple of the photos? This is a cool blog, and I’m sure I can find another instructional site, but not with Aaron’s pics!
Aaron Watson - Thanks for suggesting that. Although we don’t normally gear our blog posts to other photographers, we may start doing a weekend segment with photography tips and technical information. Are there any photos in particular you are interested in finding out about the tech specs? Any areas of your photography you are looking to improve upon?
Dahrann - Extremely helpful article, plasee write more.
