Engagement Photos Charlottesville VA at Carter’s Mountain

engagement photos charlottesville va

Happy Leap Year everyone!
I was looking back through our engagement photos from 2011, and I really wanted to share Mary and Anthony’s beautiful engagement pictures from Carter’s Mountain with you today! They had their engagement session in late fall, and so the leaves had already changed into vibrant fall colors. The most common color from this session is a golden yellow, from the leaves to the amazing way Aaron played with the sun’s light to make Mary and Anthony glow. They are such a fun couple, and they definitely embraced their goofy sides in many of these pictures. I love the one of them jumping in the orchard wearing their NC State sweatshirts. (Can you tell they support the Wolfpack?) The happy and soft moments in these photographs are so special; just looking at the love these two have for each other is going to put a smile on your face for sure!

Love,
Kelsey

ps: Mary and Anthony are getting married at Pharsalia coming up, so stay tuned for what are sure to be phenomenal wedding photographs! For a reminder of how beautiful Pharsalia is, look back at some wedding pictures from Maria and Adam’s wedding album!

Charlottesville Wedding Videos – Inspiration Shoot at Mount Ida Farm

We are so excited to share the wedding video we put together from a favorite inspiration shoot of ours at Mount Ida Farm! We wanted to showcase the beauty of Mount Ida, and let everyone see all of the unique things Mount Ida has to offer their couples. We were fortunate to collaborate with some amazing vendors, who made it a breeze! West Main Bridal clothed our models with gorgeous dresses, Amanda Gray of Ashley Baber Weddings coordinated and helped style the shoot and Blue Ridge Light Forms blew us out of the water with their amazing lighting setup under the gazebo and in the beautiful reception barn. Festive Fare and Couture Designs teamed up to create spectacular tablescapes for the reception, and Milicent got the most delicious cupcakes from Too Sweet Cupcake Boutique for everyone to enjoy after they played their part on the dessert table. There were so many terrific vendors who contributed, a huge thanks goes out to everyone! (There is a complete list of the vendors underneath the video).

The first day of shooting we concentrated on the gazebo and the fantastic stone staircase leading down to it. Our handsome models, Whitney and Logan, did a fabulous job of being in love and letting Aaron capture it on camera. Their love made the beauty of Mount Ida glow, figuratively and literally, as Amanda and Milicent lit hundreds of candles on the staircase for Whitney and Logan to stand amongst. We wanted everyone to get caught up in the romantic fairytale of a Mount Ida wedding, so we threw in a little twist and asked members of the Richmond Ballet to be models for the second day of shooting. Their grace and talent went perfectly with our fairytale theme! We are so in love with all the wedding pictures from this inspiration shoot which we have already shared, and we are very proud to show you more of this fabulous shoot through the video!

If you would like to learn how you can have your wedding at Mount Ida Farm, contact Milicent Lynch (mllynch7@hotmail.com or 434.566.5562).

Love,
Kelsey
