I love Afton’s description of how she and Brian met:
“We met over the summer of 2008 in a board meeting. Romance wasn’t in the air at that point, but Powerpoint slides were, tossed around with careless precision as men and women (largely in their 40s and 50s) discussed health care policy. The stage was set for boredom, not love.”
Afton and Brian’s workplace relationship blossomed into a friendship and they soon became quite fond of each other. Over the years their feelings grew as they realized the special bond they have, with a deep care for each other and a love for the little things like cooking dinner and spending an evening together drinking wine and relaxing with the cat (sounds like a good night to me)!
The wedding was simply amazing! Afton showcased her creativity through the use of homemade burlap table runners and signs, a wish tree and customized corn hole boards. I absolutely loved the vibrantly beautiful blue and yellow flowers provided by Blue Ridge Floral Design, and of course, Afton’s sparkly Jimmy Choos were fabulous! There are so many more pictures to come of the details, but I wanted to show you some of the ceremony today. Between their heartfelt vows and their playful teasing, Afton and Brian’s ceremony was perfect. The vines were full and lush at Veritas, an absolutely perfect place for their amazing wedding and I can’t wait to show you the rest in Part 2!
