Portrait Photography for the Entire Family at Boar’s Head Inn

The portrait session we are going to share with you today is special because it included the entire family! We had uncles, aunts, brothers, sisters and cousins who made the trip to visit their grandparents in Crozet this Christmas. They don’t get to see each other too often because they all live in different places, so Suzanne (the grandmother) wanted to be sure and document their time together. What better way then by having a family wide portrait session? Aaron was only too happy to oblige and had a blast running around Boar’s Head with the kids and taking portraits of all their families. The kids were in a great mood because they had just come from having breakfast with Santa, and everyone was laughing and smiling, and enjoying being all together. I think this is such a great idea; it’s always hard during a family gathering to squeeze in taking a few pictures amidst all the excitement of seeing one another. Having someone else there to capture those moments for you while you just get to hang out with your loved ones is a great solution!

Family Portraits at Farmington – A little left over Holiday Cheer!

Here are a few family portraits from Ashley, Chris, Abby and Alden’s session at Farmington Country Club. Even if the holiday season is technically over, I think these gorgeous pictures are worth sharing at any season, and a little extra Holiday Cheer is always welcome! Plus how incredibly adorable are Abby and Alden? Abby’s facial expressions are priceless, she has the whole range, from being awestruck at Santa’s train to being goofy and sticking her tongue out at Aaron. She is such a great big sister, and the pictures of her and Alden together are amazing. Also, I know I have mentioned this before, but bubbles are magic! Every child loves to play with bubbles, and for some reason they always bring out the child’s personality in the cutest way.

Newborn Studio Photography – Baby Announcements!

We are so excited to introduce you to our good friend’s, Kat and Stephen’s, beautiful new baby girl Aria Lynn! We are also very proud to show you the baby announcement we designed for them to send out to their family and friends. We chose this card because we wanted it to have a little bit of a South African flair to represent Stephen’s home country, and the animals on the front were perfect! Aria’s room is also decorated with animals like these, and when we were designing the card with Kat, she told us that Aria’s name means ‘lion’. Aria is an absolutely beautiful baby, and she was a great model! Kat brought a few bright colored blankets and a few props for Aria to wear during her session, and everything looked so cute! I love the picture on the card of Aria wrapped in the pink blanket with the pink flower headband. I also can’t get over how beautiful Kat looks! The picture of her lying with Aria and looking at the camera is stunning. We hope you enjoy looking at Aria’s Newborn Portraits, and make sure you take a close look at the last photograph; you may recognize “Thing 1″ from some pictures we posted a few weeks ago of a previous newborn session with Aria’s cousin Tigerlilly! How adorable is that picture?!

Family Photography on the Downtown Mall in Charlottesville VA

This family photography session Aaron did with Jessie, Jonathan and their mom Karen is packed full of awesome pictures. Jessie and Jonathan utilized all the fun places on the Downtown Mall, from the ice rink to the free expression wall by the Pavilion. They even had an epic card battle on the roof of the parking garage! I love this session because Jessie and Jonathan’s personalities were perfectly captured in the pictures, as well as their amazing relationship as brother and sister. Jonathan is a senior and Jessie is a sophomore at Albemarle High School, and they are both very active; Jonathan is an eagle scout and Jessie is in the Marching Band. It’s obvious they have a great time together, and Karen told us how Jonathan always makes Jessie laugh. He was definitely true to form in this session!
