Who doesn’t love a romantic engagement story! Michelle and Louis have such a great one that I couldn’t help but share it on the blog!
As told by Michelle:
“We always celebrate each month we share together so when number eighteen arrived, nothing seemed out of the ordinary to me when Louis made plans for the evening. However, February 20, 2012 was different. Louis seamlessly planned the evening to encompass our special moments from our time together in Charlottesville. The night was filled with multiple stops including the place of our first date (Mas) and where we shared our six month anniversary (Ivy Inn). Finally, Louis led me to one of the secluded courtyards on the lawn of the Rotunda where he brought music along for us to dance to under the stars. With Moonlight Serenade playing (a song we had previously danced to at the same spot), Louis got down on one knee and proposed.”
I love that story! Michelle and Louis seem so excited to be getting married and their joy shines through in the pictures from their Barboursville Vineyards engagement session. We can’t wait for their wedding next year! Enjoy!

Kelley and Joe’s wedding reception at Mount Ida Farm was filled with great toasts, fun dances, and balloons to end the night! The barn at Mount Ida was a perfect setting with cafe lights strung from the roof and a warm fire outside. I loved the bright red and orange flower arrangements done by Sugar Magnolias. Not only did the reception look great, but it was so much fun! The DJ, Bill Gilliam, did an amazing job and kept the energy high as Kelley and Joe celebrated their new marriage with their closest friends and family.

They had an anniversary dance to find out which couple had been married the longest. Joe’s aunt and uncle won and offered Kelley and Joe some meaningful (and funny) marriage advice!
I loved the send off! Everyone had balloon with little lights inside and they all let them go together outside as they cheered for Kelley and Joe!
