Trash The Dress Photography in Montego Bay, Jamaica!

Happy Friday! I am going to make your day and give you a sneak peek of a few absolutely stunning Trash the Dress photographs from Tiffany and Kyle’s wedding in Jamaica! I am in LOVE with every single one of these pictures. How often do you get to see a bride on horseback? And riding through the ocean? Riding bareback, I might add!!! Tiffany is just so gorgeous, and she is such an incredibly talented horse woman. Her dress is perfect for this session, it drapes and flows perfectly over the horse, (whose name is Braveheart, by the way), and I love how her long curly hair looks in these pictures. There is something so romantic about riding a horse on the beach, don’t you think?

Fortunately for us, the session didn’t stop with the ride on Braveheart. Tiffany, Aaron and Matt headed back to the Iberostar Rosehall Suites for a few pictures in the pool and down by the beach. The colors in these photographs are absolutely amazing, I love the blues of the pictures in the pool and the spectacular oranges and yellows in the picture of Tiffany lying in the surf. Not to mention the lighting is genius! Two thumbs up for Aaron and Matt! Keep an eye out for more pictures from Tiffany and Kyle’s destination wedding, you’re in for another treat!

The UVA Children’s Hospital’s Main Event at Keswick Hall

About a month ago we were fortunate enough to be asked to photograph and film the UVA Children’s Hospital’s Main Event at Keswick Hall. The Children’s Hospital is a leading center for children’s healthcare all over the mid-Atlantic region, and we were so excited to help such a great cause! The Main Event does a wonderful job raising funds for the Hospital (this year’s event raised $217,000!) and it is always so well put together! The theme for this year was “British Invasion”, so needless to say, the decorations were spectacular. I felt like each time I turned around I noticed something different! The guests were treated to beer and wine from Devil’s Backbone Brewing Co and Veritas Winery, and there was a silent auction with some pretty amazing items for the guests to bid on (like a portrait session from Aaron Watson Photography), and all the proceeds from the event and the silent auction went to support the UVA Children’s Hospital.

The hard working Main Event Committee, with help from the always superb MS Events, completely transformed the downstairs into a casino and dance floor which opened after the silent auction. It was so much fun to see everyone playing the games and dancing to some terrific music from DJ Brad Savage. Here are a few pictures of the decor from the Main Event, and of the amazing people and companies who made it all happen! We have also included our video from Exist N Motion Films, which will give you a great idea of what it was like to be there!

Destination Wedding Photography – Montego Bay, Jamaica!

Hello everyone! The post for today is going to make you very excited for (and by excited for I mean jealous of) Aaron. He is off to Montego Bay, Jamaica to do some destination wedding photography! While I am very happy for his good fortune to be where it’s warm and take pictures of people in love, I know we all wish we could have tagged along! I’m sure Tiffany and Kyle wouldn’t have minded a bunch of Charlottesvillians crashing their wedding, right? I can’t wait to see all the amazing pictures Aaron will bring back with him from Tiffany and Kyle’s wedding, and to whet your appetite I am posting a few pictures from the last wedding Aaron photographed in Jamaica! All the pictures from Christina and Greg’s wedding are gorgeous, and so is their Fusion Wedding Video filmed by Matt Ryb, which you can watch below! Matt is going with Aaron this time too and helping to photograph Tiffany and Kyle’s Wedding.
